About Home Starts Here
Are you looking for a fun and meaningful way to bring your team together? Join us at our Home Starts Here Workshops, located at Addison ReStore. These engaging, hands-on build experiences support Habitat’s vision of creating a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
You and your team of up to 25 volunteers can learn new skills, create fun furniture pieces, and support Habitat for Humanity's mission (with a donation upon registration). If you're ready to build, fill out an interest form: our team will contact you with more details.
What you'll do:
Build 🔨
Build cabinets, benches, picnic tables, or other pieces in a climate-controlled environment at Addison ReStore. Completed artist-painted park benches will be displayed across DuPage County!
Grow 🪴
Learn basic building skills, connect with your small or large team of up to 25 volunteers, and earn a certificate of achievement for your efforts; no prior building experience needed!
Impact 💙
$250 per volunteer donation upon registration and auction of completed benches directly supports our mission of building affordable housing for 30 more families in DuPage and Chicago South Suburbs.
