ReStore Positions and Descriptions

Customer Service Engagement Associate

This position is responsible for assisting and engaging with customers at the assigned ReStore location. This individual will spend most of their time engaging with customers right when they enter our store. Serving as someone who can help direct customers to available product and connect everything back to Habitat for Humanity’s mission.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Primary function is to serve as the point person for when customers come in and out of
the store
­Successfully complete assigned daily tasks at the ReStore
­Assist with customer service and selling items on sales floor
­Serve as cashier
­Assist with the processing of materials.
­Assist with the back-room flow (e.g., monitoring the flow from drop-off and clean-up to pricing).
­Loading and unloading donations and pick-ups.
­Stocking product in store.
­Help maintain cleanliness and safety of the sales floor and other off-stage areas.
­Other duties as assigned.

Material Handler (Warehouse)

The Material Handler plays a vital role in ensuring the
smooth operation of our organization's warehouse and e-commerce processes. This
position involves maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment,
preparing items for sale, managing inventory, and facilitating e-commerce
sales. Attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to
contribute to a seamless customer experience are key aspects of this role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse space
prioritizing safety.
Attaching pictures of all inventory items that are to be sold online. Pictures need to be of high quality and with consistent aesthetics(backdrop) for continuity on the ReStore e-commerce platform.
Prepping items to be “retail ready” prior to leaving the warehouse, whether by online sale or allocation. This includes but is not limited to all items being clean, functional, and prepped for maximum sales value. Items are to be priced and barcoded per the direction of the Manager.
E-Commerce sales – Confirm all e-commerce sales sourced from
warehouse. Prepare items for customer pick-up and communicate with customer if necessary.
 Residential Donation – Greet all customers at warehouse donation drop-off. Prep all donated items for sale (retail ready), and process through inventory management system. 
 Forklift Certified preferred.
 Ability to drive a 16ft box truck preferred.

Driver

The Driver is responsible for facilitating the pick-up of donations at the homes of donors and various corporate locations and transporting them to the ReStores.  Upon arrival at the ReStore, this individual will unpack and unload donations at designated area. This must be done in a safe and friendly manner.

The Driver will work with the Warehouse Manager and staff to help prepare the stores for the incoming donations and will maintain the safety of the truck fleet. This person will also assist with assembling, merchandising and other tasks in the store as needed.

Must be team oriented, committed to customer service, have very good people skills and understand personal knowledge limitations. Should be customer-focused, yet firm. Candidate must be friendly and hard-working. A good attitude and positive and professional demeanor required. Needs to be organized and able to work with others to constantly adapt the ever-changing inventory in existing space.

A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check are also necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Load and unload all donated materials.
Screen product for usability.
Communicate with ReStore Staff regarding incoming donations.
Working with a volunteer or staff truck helper, providing a meaningful experience.
Drive Habitat ReStore vehicles including box trucks up to 24’ to make designated pick-ups.
Operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse handling items.
Other duties as assigned by ReStore Management Team.
